Near Cat Ba Island in northern Vietnam lies a significant port city called Hai Phong. Landmarks from the French colonial era, including the 19th-century Queen of the Rosary cathedral and the neoclassical Opera House, line its lush boulevards. Du Hang Pagoda, a lavish Buddhist shrine, and the Hai Phong Museum, which chronicles the city's lengthy history, are also located in Hai Phong.
